Job Entry Plan

First Day:
Goal: Meet as many district employees as possible 
Objective(s): Be visible on all campuses
Activities addressing goals and objectives:
  • Meet with secretary and develop a schedule for the day
  • Meet with all central office
Resources needed to achieve goals and objectives:
  • District map
  • Campus schedules
  • Staff directory
First Week:
Goal: Continue meeting district employees and students
Objective(s): Be on campuses during class changes and lunchtime to meet students
Activities addressing goals and objectives
  • Walk campuses with support services director
  • Help with morning drop-offs and dismissals on each campus - pick one campus each day
  • Eat lunch on each campus
  • Meet with campus administrators individually
Resources needed to achieve goals and objectives
  • Campus schedules
  • Staff directory
  • Tablet or other method of recording information
First Month:
Goal #1:  Meet with board members and administrative team
Objective(s): Develop a positive relationship with the school board and staff
Activities addressing goals and objectives
  • Plan process for communicating with board members
  • Plan staff meeting with administrative team and develop a schedule for staff meetings

Resources needed to achieve goals and objectives
  • Financial reports
  • Testing data - STAAR, achievement tests, etc.
  • AEIS reports
  • NCLB information
Goal #2:  Begin the process of implementing or continuing a Professional Learning Community
Objective(s):  Review district mission/vision/values/goals 
Activities addressing goals and objectives
  • Discuss mission/vision/values/goals and successes of achieving them
  • Begin the process of reviewing mission/vision/values/goals with administrative team

Resources needed to achieve goals and objectives
  • District and campus improvement plans
  • District and campus mission/vision/values/goals
  • Financial reports
  • Testing data - STAAR, achievement tests, etc.
  • AEIS reports
  • NCLB information
First Year:
Goal: Review and possibly rework the district mission/vision/values/goals 
Objective(s): Decide with all stakeholders whether mission/vision/values/goals need to be updated
Activities addressing goals and objectives
  • Meet with administrative team to discuss feasibility
  • Administrators conduct faculty meetings to address and see if any updates need to take place
  • Discuss at DEIC and SBDM meetings
Resources needed to achieve goals and objectives
  • District and campus improvement plans
  • District and campus mission/vision/values/goals
  • Financial reports
  • Testing data - STAAR, achievement tests, etc.
  • AEIS reports
  • NCLB information
